In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), employees of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I (CHED RO1) took part in a Self-Care and Health Learning Session and Zumbayani at the 3rd Floor of the CHED RO1, City of San Fernando, La Union, on September 9, 2025.
Dr. Maria Carmela L. Domocmat, CHED RO1 Education Supervisor II for health-related programs, served as the resource speaker and shared valuable insights on health and wellness, with a focus on proper nutrition.
The activity aimed to promote employee well-being in line with the PCSA’s theme: “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.”
In the afternoon, CHED RO1 employees joined the nationwide Zumbayani movement, a synchronized Zumba activity across government agencies, led by Mr. Cholo Escobar and Ms. Dianne Joyce Montemayor.
The activities are part of the activities organized by CHED RO1 to mark the PCSA, underscoring its commitment to the holistic development and well-being of its workforce.

In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I (CHED RO I) participated in the Fun Run and Zumba for a Cause held at Baywalk, Poro Point, San Fernando City, La Union on September 7, 2025.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Romulo V. Nabua, Director II of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office La Union, who emphasized the importance of unity, wellness, and camaraderie among government workers in pursuit of excellent public service.
Representing CHED RO I were Dr. Danilo Bose, Chief Education Program Specialist, along with staff members Dianne Joyce Montemayor, Alfredo Pascual, Chicel Tactacan, Kristine Marie Casugay, Alexis Moira Dolores, Kelcy Tumabcao, Joselle Gurion, John Eric Ancheta, Carl Jenver Duclayan, and Marlon Padua.
The fun run and zumba are two of the many nationwide activities lined up in celebration of PCSA’s 125th year.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | CHED ROI participates in a Bloodletting Activity with the theme, “𝐃𝐮𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲, 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐠 𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧!”, organized by the Civil Service Commission Regional Office I (CSC ROI) in San Fernando City, La Union on September 9, 2025.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | CHED ROI participates in the RANIAG (Rediscover Artistry, Nurture Identity, and Accelerate Growth) Region I Creative Tour spearheaded by the Department of Tourism Region I and the Department of Tourism Region 1. Dr. Al Gerald Barde and Dr. Ricky Cera, Education Supervisors, join the national and local artists fashion designers, chefs and restaurateurs, local tour operators, social media influencers, photographers, creative industries key persons and the media in the creative tour around La Union and Pangasinan from September 9 to 13, 2025.
