Thirteen (13) higher education institutions (HEIs) in Region 1 secured placements in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, with entries across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Architect King Nixon C. Mabanta of Pangasinan State University lead the list of passers in the June 2025 Licensure Examination for Architects, recording an 88.10% passing rate.
Also in the list is Architect Leymar Jake G. Tamani of the University of Pangasinan, garnering an 85.50% passing
The region recorded a 62.5% increase in the number of internationally ranked HEIs in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2025, with 13 HEIs qualifying for the overall ranking, compared to last year’s data.
