RQAT visits held for Fisheries, Agroforestry Programs

Regional Quality Assessment Teams (RQAT) simultaneously visited the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC)-Sta. Maria Campus, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur and the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-South La Union Campus (DMMMSU-SLUC), Sto. Tomas, La Union to evaluate the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry and Bachelor of Science in Fisheries programs, respectively, on November 29, 2024.
At DMMMSU-SLUC, Mr. Jerome Binarao, Assistant Professor at the Mariano Marcos State University together with Ms. Diody Quimno, Senior Aquaculturist of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Region 1 evaluated the application of the institution for the issuance of a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries.
Meanwhile, at ISPSC-Sta. Maria Campus, Dr. Sean R. Vidad, Department Chair of Agricultural Sciences in MMSU and Mr. Jay Mark Cortado, Dean of the College of Forestry and Agroforestry of DMMMSU, evaluated the application of the institution for the issuance of a COPC for the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry program.
CMO No. 33, series of 2021 provides for the Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries while CMO No. 09, series of 2006 provides for the Policies and Standards for Bachelor of Science in Agriforestry. These CMOs guided the RQAT in their evaluation.
