HAPPENING NOW | The CHED ROI technical team led by Dr. Angelica Dolores, Supervising Education Program Specialist, conducts onsite inspection of the facilities and learning resources of the different campuses of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College on August 19, 2025. This is part of the evaluation of the HEI’s compliance with policies, standards, and guidelines on the offering of academic programs and its conversion to university requirements.

HAPPENING NOW | CHED Regional Office I is conducting an on-site liquidation review at AMA Laoag Campus, Laoag, Ilocos Norte, on August 15, 2025, to ensure proper utilization and complete documentation of funds received under the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong-Dunong Program (TDP). UniFAST Regional Coordinator Mr. John Eric Ancheta, works with HEI’s focal person, Mr. Norvil Romero, to verify records and facilitate the timely completion of required documents.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | The CHED Office of Student Development and Services (OSDS), the CHED Administrative, Financial and Management Service (AFMS), and the CHED Regional Office 1 conduct the second day of monitoring and evaluation of the Cash Grant to Medical Students Enrolled in State Universities and Colleges (CGMS-SUCs) at the Mariano Marcos State University, Batac City, Ilocos Norte on August 14, 2025.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | Mr. Albert Subang, CHED ROI Education Supervisor II, participates in the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region 1 Data Center Launching at Ilocos Norte Capitol, Laoag City on August 14, 2025.

The monitoring team of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) jointly conducted a visit to Panpacific University’s BS Marine Transportation Program in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan on August 5 to 8, 2025.
The purpose of the said visit was to ensure compliance with the policies, standards, and guidelines for maritime education as offered by the institution, per Joint CHED-MARINA Memorandum Circular (JCMMC) No. 1, series of 2022, as amended.
Mr. Herbert Nalupa, Ch/Officer Ramices Vadillo, Mr. Eric Eisa Estabillo, Dr. Myrelle Faith Mina, and Mr. Brian Uy, composed the CHED-MARINA Monitoring Team.
The results of the mentioned evaluation were discussed with the Maritime Higher Education Institution (MHEI) Officials.
