Dr. J. Prospero โ€œPopoyโ€ E. De Vera III, Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), extended his congratulations to the awardees, recognizing them as the best of the best private HEIs in the country.
โ€œYour institution has proven itself a leader in quality education, shaping the minds of our future leaders and contributing to our nationโ€™s progress,โ€ Chair Popoy said.
Furthermore, Chair Popoy challenged all HEIs to continue expanding their global networks and collaborations to contribute to international knowledge exchange.
These distinctions grant private HEIs greater freedom in decision-making, such as exemption from CHED special orders, program autonomy, curriculum development, and resource management.
Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director IV, and Dr. Danilo B. Bose, Chief Education Program Specialist of CHEDRO1, attended the ceremony along with the four HEI awardees from the region.
The first-ever awarding ceremony was graced by congressional leaders, presidents of various private HEIs from across the country, and CHED officials.
