City of San Fernando, La Union – CHED Regional Office I conducted its first Gender and Development (GAD) Quiz Show at the CHED ROI Conference Room on March 19, 2024.
The activity was part of its National Women’s Month Celebration with the theme, “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!”, which stressed the importance of compassionate and harmonized networks towards gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE).
Dr. Christine Ferrer, Director IV, rendered a message of support to the program and highlighted the importance of education as a pillar in advocating gender development and equality as well as gender empowerment.
Panpacific University emerged as the champion, followed by Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC)- Santiago Campus and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University as 2nd and 3rd placers, respectively.
Dr. Ricky Cera, Education Supervisor II, initiated the quiz show.
