Pursuant to CHED’s mandate as the lead agency in the implementation of Republic Act No. 11448, otherwise known as the Transnational Higher Education (TNHE) Act, Dr. Al Gerald S. Barde, IZN Focal and Education Supervisor II, and Ms. Ailene B. Flores, TNHE Officer/Project Technical Staff III, participated in the first day of the Quality in TNHE Governance: Embarking on a Whole-of-Government Approach for Transnational Higher Education masterclass, via Zoom on November 5, 2024.
In its second phase, the masterclass, hosted by the CHED International Affairs Service, aims to equip National Government Agencies (NGAs) with the knowledge and tools necessary for the implementation of the TNHE Law.
Dr. Ethel Agnes P. Valenzuela, CHED Commissioner, delivered the statement of purpose for the masterclass and discussed the future of TNHE.
Furthermore, Atty. Cinderella Filipina Benitez-Jaro, Executive Director, delivered an inspirational message to the participants.
The succeeding days of the masterclass will feature discussions on Global TNHE Trends, TNHE as Investment, Quality Assurance in TNHE, TNHE in the Philippines, and Policy Review.
