CHEDRO1 Distributes Stipends to 387 TDP Grantees
The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I (CHEDRO I) successfully conducted the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) Distribution of Stipends on January 9, 2025, at Northern Christian College in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. The event provided financial assistance to 387 grantees funded under the TDP initiative of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Tesoro Go, demonstrating the government’s commitment to enhancing access to education for deserving students.
Chairman J. Prospero E. De Vera III delivered his message of encouragement through a pre-recorded video, commending the grantees for their dedication and hard work. Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Tesoro Go also shared his inspiring message via video, reaffirming his continued support for programs that empower the youth and contribute to national development.
Dr. Lucris Carina Agnir-Paraan, President of Northern Christian College, welcomed the participants and emphasized the transformative impact of educational assistance programs and the growth of their institution. Ms. Pia Talavera, representing the Medical and Education Assistance team from the Office of Senator Bong Go, delivered an inspirational message that motivated the grantees to pursue their goals with determination. Additionally, Ms. Paula Bermudez, also from Senator Bong Go’s office, provided an engaging introduction on Mental Health Awareness, highlighting the importance of mental well-being in achieving academic and personal success.
