CHEDRO1 RQAT visits the Fisheries Program of PSU Binmaley
The Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 1 is conducting an evaluation visit at the Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus in relation to its application for Certificate of Program Compliance for its Bachelor of Fisheries program.
The RQAT is composed of Ms. Diody Quimno, Senior Aquaculturist at the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Office 1, and Mr. Jerome Binarao, Assistant Professor 1 at the Mariano Marcos State University. They are assisted by Atty. Dessa Estrada, CHED Education Supervisor.
The BS Fisheries program is the flagship program of the PSU-Binmaley Campus and is offered to students since 1978. Through the visit, the institution’s compliance to CHED Memorandum Order No. 33, series of 2021 will be gauged and assessed.
Compliance to the latest CHED CMOs ensures that program offerings of higher education institutions have shifted to outcomes-based education and remain competitive and aligned to regional standards so that graduates may be able to practice throughout the ASEAN Region, for example.
