Saint Louis College (SLC) has been awarded Level 2 Recognition in the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Regionalization Program, as announced today, February 7, 2025.

 

SLC is one of only five organizations and the first private higher education institution in Region I to receive this prestigious distinction.

 

According to DTI, public and private organizations at Levels 1 and 2 have demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The PQA Regionalization Program, established under DTI DAO 22-12, serves as a stepping stone toward the Philippine Quality Award (PQA)—the nation’s highest recognition for organizational performance excellence.

 

Inspired by the globally renowned Baldrige Performance Excellence Program (U.S.), the PQA framework consists of four levels:

Level 4 – Philippine Quality Award for Performance Excellence

Level 3 – Recognition for Mastery in Quality Management

Level 2 – Commitment to Quality Management (SLC’s current achievement)

Level 1 – Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management

 

With dedication and continuous progress, SLC is well on its way to reaching Levels 3 and 4.
