Dr. Ferrer graces oath-taking ceremony of Sr. Masirag
In a solemn celebration, Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director IV of CHED Regional Office I, administered the oath of office to Sr. Maria Nilda Masirag, SPC, at St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur (SPCIS) on November 20, 2024.
Sr. Masirag formally assumed the position as the 6th president of SPCIS, formerly known as Rosary College.
Dr. Ferrer expressed CHEDRO1’s support for the entire administration of SPCIS as it begins a new journey under the leadership of Sr. Masirag. She also conveyed confidence in Sr. Masirag’s ability to lead SPCIS through this new phase, emphasizing the strong foundation of leadership and dedication to excellence that SPCIS has built over the years.
Sr. Emily Louise del Castillo, SPC, Provincial Superior and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, read the appointment letter, and Sr. Sahlee Trinilyn Palijo, SPC, Executive Vice President and Dean of the Department of Nursing, read the board resolution for Sr. Masirag’s appointment.
The Solemn Investiture Rite was attended by various administrators of SPCIS, including the outgoing School President, Sr. Merceditas Ang; Msgr. Gary Noel Formoso, School Chaplain; Sr. Marie Rosanne Mallillin, SPC, Chancellor of the St. Paul University System; and Dr. Katrina Joy Naval, Vice President for Academics.
