Dr. Christine Nabor-Ferrer, CHED ROI Director IV, attended the exploratory meeting on the conduct of the Higher Education Institution Fair by the City Government of Dagupan on April 2, 2024.

 

City Mayor Belen T. Fernandez presided over the meeting with other attendees including Dr. Rowena Banzon, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent of Schools Division Office Dagupan City; Dr. Carmelo Vidal, President of the Association of Private Schools, Colleges, and Universities (APSCU); Ms. Jocelyn Soriano of DOLE and PESO; and Atty. Aurora E. Valle, LGU legal officer.

 

The fair will prioritize connecting students with in-demand courses and potential job opportunities which can empower them after graduation.

 

According to Dr. Ferrer, the fair aligns with the city’s scholarship program, which seeks to provide financial aid to underprivileged but determined students.

Mayor Fernandez expressed support to young scholars for they are the key to a brighter future and stronger local community.
