TDP grantees of Ilocos Sur 2nd district receive stipends
Around 156 grantees from the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) claimed their stipends along with the beneficiaries from the Department of Social Welfare and Development at the Candon City Arena, Candon City, Ilocos Sur on November 15, 2024.
The event highlighted the commitment of the government and partner institutions to support the educational pursuits of student-grantees from the Second District of Ilocos Sur.
Hon. Eric Singson, Mayor of Candon City, welcomed the grantees, and other beneficiaries together with their families, emphasizing the cityβs commitment to education and the importance of such programs in shaping a brighter future.
Dr. Christine Nabor-Ferrer, Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I, inspired the audience with her address to the grantees.
She encouraged the students to seize this opportunity and dedicate themselves to their studies.

Adding to the significance of the occasion was the presence of Deputy Speaker Kristine Singson-Meehan, Representative of the 2nd District of Ilocos Sur, who has been a steadfast advocate for the education of the youth in her district.
